What is the most valuable thing your Armenian origins have passed on to you?
They have instilled in me the importance of celebrating, preserving, and transmitting. Culture, languages, and savoir-faire are never to be taken for granted.
My Armenian heritage is also a permanent source of inspiration in art, design, and creation. I really like the approach I find at Maróm: drawing on one's roots to imagine something contemporary.
When you come from a less represented culture, you often develop a different perspective on the world. This is not a limitation, but a real creative strength.
What values do you want to convey through Paramaz?
Transparency, authenticity, the celebration of artisanal savoir-faire, and human connection.
We advocate for more responsible, local, and sustainable fashion. All our pieces are made in our Parisian workshop from French leather. We create objects made to last, be repaired, and be passed down from generation to generation.
Our workshop is open: we invite everyone to enter the artisan's world and discover the savoir-faire up close. For me, knowing who made an object, where, and under what conditions is almost as important as the object itself.
How do you preserve savoir-faire while adapting it to our time?
Preserving savoir-faire does not mean freezing it in the past. It must be allowed to evolve with its time, while remaining faithful to its identity.
Collaborations with artisans, designers, and creators who share this vision are essential. I strongly believe in this new generation, both in Armenia and in the diaspora, who bring their roots to life through contemporary creation.
